Bringing Hope to Families During the Holy Month of Ramadan
In the spirit of compassion, generosity, and community service that defines the holy month of Ramadan, the Bauchi State Orphans and Vulnerable Children Agency (BASOVCA) officially flagged off its 2025 Ramadan Distribution Programme, reaffirming its commitment to supporting orphans, vulnerable children, and disadvantaged households across Bauchi State.
The distribution programme was designed to ease the burden on vulnerable families during Ramadan by providing essential food items and clothing materials, ensuring that beneficiaries could observe the fasting period with dignity and hope.
The initiative forms part of BASOVCA’s broader social protection programmes aimed at improving the welfare of orphans and vulnerable children while strengthening household resilience throughout the state.

Supporting Those Who Need It Most
As part of the 2025 Ramadan intervention, 501 orphans and vulnerable children benefited from the distribution of food items and clothing materials.
The support was carefully targeted at vulnerable children and households identified through BASOVCA’s community-based structures, ensuring that assistance reached those with the greatest need.
The programme reflects the agency’s continued dedication to promoting child welfare through practical interventions that improve the daily lives of vulnerable families.
