At the Bauchi State Orphans and Vulnerable Children Agency (BASOVCA), child protection is at the heart of our mandate. Child Rights Protection

Birth Registration and Legal Identity
Legal identity is the foundation for accessing essential services such as education, healthcare, and social protection.
BASOVCA supports birth registration initiatives to help ensure that every child is officially recognized and can fully enjoy their legal rights and entitlements.
Where necessary, the agency also supports awareness campaigns on the importance of civil registration for children and families.
Legal Assistance
Some children require legal intervention to protect them from abuse, neglect, abandonment, exploitation, trafficking, or other violations of their rights.
BASOVCA facilitates access to legal support by working with relevant government institutions, child welfare authorities, law enforcement agencies, and legal professionals to ensure that vulnerable children receive appropriate assistance and protection.
